About this policy
Eat Chess Games operates the games below and eatchess.com. This policy covers their Plus editions too. Send privacy questions or requests to hello@eatchess.com. Policy changes appear here with an updated date.
Our games have no ads or Eat Chess accounts. They do not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
App store services
Apple or Google handles optional purchases on phones and tablets. We do not receive your billing name or payment details. The apps keep local records of owned extras. Purchases stay tied to your store account; Restore Purchases checks that account's purchase history. The Mac Plus editions include their extras without in-app purchases.
The stores and your device may collect reports about installs, purchases, crashes, and use under Apple's or Google's privacy policy. If you choose to share crash reports with developers, we use those reports to fix bugs.
Eat Chess: Royal Merge
Royal Merge saves games and lifetime stats on your device. Settings are saved there too. Limited recovery copies preserve earlier data when a save needs updating or cannot be read safely. There is no in-game cloud sync. The app has no tracking tools and does not request your location.
Starting a new run keeps lifetime stats. Deleting the mobile app removes local data, but Android device backups may restore it after reinstalling or changing devices.
When Game Center is enabled, official Solo scores and achievements can be shared with Apple under its Game Center privacy policy. Apple Watch has separate Solo leaderboards.
Share Result creates a Royal Recap image on your device. You choose where to send it; the app does not upload it or learn its destination. Android keeps temporary copies for sharing. When the app starts from fully closed, it removes copies older than 7 days. They may remain longer if you do not reopen the app.
Royal Merge Web saves progress and settings in your browser. It stores game files for faster loading. Your play is not sent to us. Choose Settings > Clear local data, or clear this site's browsing data, to remove progress and settings, including recovery copies. Exported backups and saved images stay wherever you saved them.
Eat Chess: Snack Attack
Snack Attack saves your current run and local high scores, including player names. Settings and recent board history stay on your device too. There is no in-game cloud sync. Gameplay does not request location access.
The Android edition uses Google Play Billing for purchases. Its library can send technical diagnostics to Google during Billing operations, including connection failures. Diagnostic records can include app/device details and Billing error information. Google handles this information under its privacy policy.
Deleting the mobile app removes local progress. On Apple devices, Reset High Scores resets local leaderboards. Android may back up saved games and progress through your device's backup settings, allowing them to return after reinstalling or changing devices.
If you use Game Center on Apple devices, scores and achievements are shared with Apple under its Game Center privacy policy.
Snack Attack Web keeps your saved run and settings in the current browser. Local Hall of Feasts entries include names you enter; recent board history and recipe unlocks are saved with your progress. Game files are cached for offline use. Choose Settings > Reset all local data to remove Snack Attack's saved run and score records, together with settings and recipe unlocks. Cached game files remain. Clearing eatchess.com's browsing data also removes other Eat Chess browser games' local data.
Board Together: Math Practice
This section also covers Board Together: Math Plus. Scores and stats, including player names, are stored on your device. If you use Game Center on Apple devices, scores and achievements are also shared with Apple under its Game Center privacy policy. If you create or import custom boards, the app saves them locally. It keeps settings and recent board history on your device too. There is no cloud save.

Local two-device games share match data with the paired device. Android uses Google Nearby Connections and requests nearby-device permissions, including location permission on Android 12L and earlier. Google's Nearby service collects performance and device details; you can control this through Settings > Google > Usage & diagnostics.
This website
Cloudflare hosts this site and may process your IP address with browser and request details to serve and protect it. Basic traffic reports may use that data. This site has no advertising cookies and does not share data with marketers. Fonts load from eatchess.com.
