The short version
Royal Merge is an offline puzzle game for Solo and local Versus play. It does not use sign-in accounts, analytics, ads, or cloud syncs. Gameplay progress, settings, statistics, and local purchase entitlements remain on your device.

Data the app keeps locally
- The current saved game state (board position, score, local move history for the active run, timers, and local match settings).
- Lifetime statistics such as best score, total moves, total merges, and runs played.
- Your settings: haptics toggle, sound toggle, reduce-motion preference, theme selection, chess set selection, seating preference, and display adjustments.
- Optional cosmetic entitlements purchased through the App Store or Google Play, stored locally so they persist between launches.
Data the app does not require
- No account sign-in.
- No analytics, advertising SDKs, or remote profile tracking.
- No online multiplayer, cloud save, or background account sync.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
Game Center
Official Solo runs can use Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements if Game Center is enabled. Apple handles Game Center identity and related services under Apple's own privacy policy. The game does not create a separate account with us.
In-app purchases
Royal Merge offers optional cosmetic unlocks, bundles, and a Royal Patron badge through Apple's App Store on iOS. These purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit; we do not see your payment information. Apple records the purchase against your Apple ID under its own privacy policy. The app stores a local entitlement so it knows which extras you own; nothing about the transaction leaves your device through us. On Android, Google Play handles these purchases under Google's own privacy policy, and the app stores the matching entitlement locally in the same way.
App stores and the operating system
The iPhone and iPad app is distributed through Apple's App Store, and the Android app through Google Play. Apple, Google, and the operating system may collect information about app installs, purchases, crashes, diagnostics, and aggregate usage independently of us as part of operating their stores and platforms. That data is governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies, not this one. If you opt in to share diagnostics with developers, Apple or Google may forward crash or diagnostic reports to us. We use those only to fix bugs.
Sharing a Royal Recap
Royal Merge can create a local result image when you tap Share Result. The image is rendered on your device, saved temporarily in the app's private cache, and handed to the iOS system share sheet only after you choose to share it. The app does not upload the image, choose a destination for you, or observe where you send it.
Children
Royal Merge is designed to be appropriate for all ages, including kids and families. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone (child or adult), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Removing local data
Because the app stores progress and stats on your device only, removing the app removes that local data. The in-app reset option also clears local progress without requiring you to reinstall.
This website
This site is a small, mostly-static page hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may log standard request information (such as IP address, request time, and user-agent string) for security and abuse-prevention purposes; that logging is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy. The site itself does not set advertising cookies, run third-party analytics scripts, or share information with marketers. The Google Fonts CSS is loaded from Google's CDN to render typography.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how the app or site handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app or site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
