When reporting a problem
Including a few details up front makes it much easier to reproduce and fix what you're seeing.
- Your device model and operating system version.
- The app version, shown on the in-app Settings screen.
- Whether the run was Tactics or Blitz, and whether you were resuming a saved game.
- If the problem was board-specific, include the board title or a screenshot.
- A short description of what you expected vs. what actually happened.
What to try first
- Close and reopen the app to reload the current shell state.
- If local progress was created by an incompatible build, use the in-app reset prompt before continuing.
- Keep the app updated so saved data, leaderboards, and content stay on the same schema.
- If the app won't launch past the loading screen, fully quit it from the App Switcher and try once more before reinstalling.
Common questions
Does the game work offline?
Yes. Snack Attack is offline. You do not need an account or an internet connection to play, save progress, or set local high scores.
Where is my progress stored?
On your device only. There is no cloud save. If you delete the app, local saves and high scores are removed with it.
I lost my high scores after an update.
Some early-version updates change the local data schema. If the app prompts you to reset local progress, that is expected and unavoidable for that specific transition. After v1.0 we aim to keep saves forward-compatible. If you hit unexpected loss of progress, please email us with your prior and current app version.
Does the game have Game Center, multiplayer, or cloud sync?
Snack Attack is single-player. Current App Store builds include Game Center support for compatible scores and achievements, while progress and local high scores still live on your device. There is no online multiplayer or cloud save.
Which devices are supported?
Snack Attack runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 15 or later. Larger boards are reserved for iPad and other spacious layouts.
Is the game free?
Yes. The base game is free and ad-free. Optional one-time In-App Purchases unlock thousands of additional Courses beyond the free 500, Grandmaster Mode (1-move budget, 3-minute Blitz), a 100x Feast Maximum that raises the multiplier ceiling, and alternative chess sets. Purchases are optional and do not change the core game.
